Skills requiredWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Head Greenkeeper to support the Head Greenkeeper in the day-to-day maintenance and development of our golf course, ensuring high-quality playing conditions year-round.
Job role notesAs part of a not-for-profit leisure trust, our mission is to promote health, wellbeing, and community engagement through outstanding leisure facilities. Our golf course is a valued part of that mission, offering an exceptional sporting experience in a welcoming and sustainable environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning, supervision, and implementation of all golf course maintenance activities
• Operate and maintain a wide range of turfcare equipment and machinery
• Ensure high standards of turf presentation and playability across all playing surface
• Train, supervise and support the greenkeeping team
• Monitor and report on course conditions, irrigation needs, and environmental practices
• Help maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and legislative requirements

What We’re Looking For:
• A minimum Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent); Level 3 desirable
• Demonstrable experience in greenkeeping, with supervisory or team leadership exposure
• A positive, proactive approach with a keen eye for detail and course presentation
• Full UK driving licence
