About the role
We’re looking for a friendly and professional Customer Service Advisor to be the first point of contact at our centres. You’ll welcome visitors, handle enquiries, process bookings and memberships, and ensure our reception area runs smoothly. This role is vital in helping us provide an excellent experience to the thousands of people who use our centres each year.
What you’ll be doing
• Greeting members of the public, answering telephone enquiries and providing advice and information.
• Handling bookings, memberships and sales enquiries, including conducting tours and inductions.
• Operating reception systems including cash registers, ticketing machines and computerised booking systems.
• Accurately processing payments, maintaining security and ensuring audit trails for cash and stock.
• Carrying out administration tasks to support the centre’s operation.
• Assisting with small equipment set-up and maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area.
What we’re looking for
• A people-focused team player with great communication skills.
• Someone who can work accurately with cash and administration tasks.
• A friendly, approachable individual who can provide excellent customer care.
• Flexibility.
• Physically able to assist with small equipment set-up.
Skills
Essential:
• Experience of working face to face with a large number of clients, ideally in a reception or customer service role.
• Clerical and administrative experience.
• Ability to deal tactfully with a wide range of people and enquiries.
• Confident in handling cash and recording stock and payments accurately.
• Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Fluent and clear spoken English.
Desirable:
• Experience operating telephone systems.
• Knowledge of Management Information Systems.
• Formal administrative training or qualifications.
