Active Luton has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Healthy Lifestyle Specialist in the Stop Smoking team, supporting those who wish to quit smoking.

To provide high-quality stop smoking behavioural support and pharmacological advice in line with NSCST guidelines to individuals wishing to quit, offering sessions at a range of times and locations, including evenings and weekends. Proactively seek new venues and establish clinics, groups, and drop-ins to help meet both personal and team stop smoking targets.

All consultations and outcomes are recorded using DCRS, ensuring full use of the service database and strict adherence to the Data Protection Act and Information Governance requirements. Also promote service awareness by working with partner organisations and attending events, sometimes during evenings or weekends, and deliver on-site or virtual presentations to develop new partnerships.

To support the day-to-day running of the Wellbeing Hub at Luton Point, which operates Monday to Sunday, where the team deliver mini health checks and provide information on other Total Wellbeing Luton programmes. This role also includes assisting with stock management and maintaining accurate spreadsheet records, as well as delivering tailored presentations to external organisations to support collaborative working.

What we’re looking for
• Minimum 1 year experience in providing behavioural support within various settings, both face to face and telephone consultations
• Proactive and with a ‘can do’ attitude with strong planning, time management, empathy and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about making a difference to the communities across Luton
• Hold a full driving license and vehicle for travel
• Availability to work on weekends, this role includes Saturday and Sunday shift pattern.
• Proficient in MS Office package- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
