| Job role notes | Active Luton is looking for a Hydra Health instructor to join the Total Wellbeing Long Term Conditions team to deliver on our Hydra Health program in our swimming pools based across our Active Luton centres. The role will consist of 4 hours per week delivery.
Active Luton is a community wellbeing trust offering leisure and sport, health and wellbeing, community outreach, training and education and Luton’s library services. We want to make sure everyone in Luton has the right access and opportunity to get active and improve wellbeing and quality of life.
Exciting opportunities are available for passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Hydra Health instructors with experience and an interest in delivering pool based activity sessions including deep water and shallow water sessions. These sessions run throughout the week and intensity of sessions vary depending on client’s needs. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this front line role will lead the planning, development and delivery of pool based sessions inclusive to all walks of life, in particular to people who are experiencing a long term condition and need exercise to help manage their condition.
We would like to hear from you if you are:
• Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in either personal training or GP referral
• Hold an up to date NRASTC qualification
• Creative and proactive with strong planning, time management, empathy and interpersonal skills.
• Experienced in community development and engagement.
• Passionate about making a difference to communities across Luton
• Hold a level 4 specific exercise qualifications related to any long term condition (desirable but not compulsory)
