Hours: Full Time – 37 Hours Per Week
Location: Inspire Luton Sports Village
Are you passionate about fitness and helping others achieve their health goals? We're looking for an energetic, friendly, and professional Fitness Instructor to deliver high-quality support to our gym members and help create a motivating and inclusive environment. This hands-on role includes leading inductions, supervising the gym floor, delivering safe and effective advice, and supporting our health and wellbeing programmes. You’ll also help set up equipment, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to the growth of our fitness offer.
What you’ll be doing
• Deliver gym inductions and support customers during their workouts
• Supervise gym and activity areas to ensure customer safety
• Set up and maintain fitness equipment and keep areas clean and welcoming
• Assist in the development and promotion of fitness activities
• Offer advice, encouragement and support to customers at all levels
• Complete health and safety checks, records, and reports
• Answer enquiries, provide guidance, and represent Active Luton in a positive way
What we’re looking for
• Friendly, approachable, and confident in a customer-facing role
• Experience working in a leisure or customer service environment
• Basic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
• Able to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team
• Good knowledge of gym equipment and fitness safety practices
• Comfortable handling and moving gym equipment
Essential:
• Level 2 Gym Instruction (REPS accredited), gained within the last 2 years
• Able to demonstrate understanding of equal opportunities
• Good communication skills and ability to provide effective advice in fluent spoken English
