Job role notesSalary: £27,878 per annum
Hours: Part Time – 25.5 Hours per week
Location: Stockwood Park Golf Centre

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Activity Leader to support the delivery of engaging golf activities and programmes within our facilities. This role focuses on encouraging participation in golf while providing a welcoming and safe environment for players of all ages and abilities. Working in a customer-focused environment, you will interact with members, visitors and beginners, helping them enjoy and develop their golfing experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Duty Manager and colleagues to ensure activities run smoothly while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service and facility presentation.

• Supervising and supporting golf activities, sessions and programmes for members and visitors.
• Assisting with the delivery of beginner sessions, group activities and community golf initiatives.
• Providing guidance and assistance to customers using the golf facilities.
• Monitoring daily operations to ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Responding to customer enquiries and providing helpful advice about facilities and activities.
• Reporting feedback, maintenance issues or operational concerns to the Duty Manager.
• Supporting the team in maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment within the golf facility.

Previous experience in a golf, leisure or customer service environment would be beneficial.

Skills
• Experience working in a leisure, sports or customer-focused environment.
• Interest in golf and willingness to support golf activities and programmes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide range of people.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain health and safety standards.
• Basic IT skills including email and general computer use.
• Ability to record basic written information.
• Understanding of equal opportunities and inclusive service delivery.
• Ability to handle and move equipment when required.

Rota
This role will involve working a shift pattern including evenings, weekends and bank holidays to support the operational needs of the leisure centre.
